Why join GWC in Togo


Togo is a beautiful country spread across the center by a chain of hills, the Togo Mountains. With coastlines of flat sandy beaches picture painted with coconut trees and is blessed with green terrains surrounding the dreamy Oti River adding to the charisma it has for its visitors. Some of the not to be missed attractions include the National Museum, Grand Marche shopping center in Lomé, Village Artisanal, charming Lake Togo, Keran National Park and the enchanting UNESCO Heritage site will make your visit a memorable one. Contrary to the beauty it offers its visitors, the country is struggling to cope with many social evils including Corruption, Unemployment, Alcoholism, Gender inequality, Rising number of HIV/AIDS and resulting orphans, lack of educational and healthcare facilities, child trafficking and the sight of extreme hunger and poverty will put you in disbelief.

In order to make a positive change in the lives of these poor and neglected suffering mankind, GWC has formulated some interesting projects for its volunteers who is the core of action. The volunteer’s team will comprise of individuals from varied ethnic, cultural and religious background. The young force of talented volunteers will pitch in by helping local community by teaching children in schools through creative skills such as painting, drawing and coloring, will provide basic education to those who never went to a school, will introduce fun games to children, help spread awareness on HIV/AIDS, help in general upkeep of the school to make it a pleasant place to learn. The volunteers would help the community with any requirements that need immediate solution. At the end of the project GWC helps its volunteers by arranging tours so they are able to have some fun and have a relaxed mind. Think of the amazing beautiful terrains you could explore with other youngsters like you. You can make friends with them and make it a great learning and rewarding experience for yourself. GWC needs change makers like you to join hands with us. Let us bring smile and cheers in the life of these poor and needy people.

Special Note: Please note that if in case, your project is overbooked, or if we don’t have any spare or extra space in a particular workcamp project in which you are interested. You can make a request before the workcamp project starts, GWC will contact to our In-country coordinator to find a solution and try to make adjustments in order to give you a space in that very project, however, GWC will charge extra fees for this kind of arrangement
